Fraser
Skinner
Marketing Central Otago properties for the
Arrowtown Harcourts office is a natural progression for Fraser Skinner, who has
contributed significantly to the Wakatipu region in many ways.
Fraser’s passion for the development of the
region and its future, is reflected in an impressive synthesis of professional
and volunteer work, often at the initiation stage of large projects in tourism,
hospitality and marketing in the Wakatipu area.
A career highlight was Fraser’s involvement
in the establishment of the region’s marketing organisation in the 1980s.
Fraser later became General Manager of this organisation, now known as
Destination Queenstown.
Volunteer tourism and marketing roles
include: an influential five years on the promotional organisation, Discover
Arrowtown; voluntary Queenstown Winter Festival organiser for several years;
and a Founding Director of the international ‘50K of Coronet’ endurance ski
race. Over five years that organisation raised around $1million which was used
to establish the Chair of Paediatric Research in Otago University. The event
saw the establishment of the Cure Kids brand, which Fraser continues to
support.
Fraser’s local knowledge and reputation in
the community ensures strong and positive relationships in the real estate
industry where he works with variety of properties and businesses. A specialist
area he particularly enjoys is the marketing of Central Otago vineyards and the representation
of several mortgagee clients.
Testimonials
1.
‘…he has always been thoroughly
professional and handled all aspects of the sale of our house with respect.
After the house was passed in at auction he worked with us to make sure that we
followed the programme to continue improvements to encourage more buyers. We
ultimately received five deadline offers and the final outcome was more than we
expected for the sale of or home.
'We had to deal with the holiday season and
unemployment hassles but Fraser’s support and advice was always there in an
encouraging and caring manner.
'If we were ever in a position to require
the needs of a sales agent again, we would definitely come back to Fraser and
Harcourts. We have already recommended his services to another associate
considering selling their home. '

‘I’d like to say how much we have valued
your help over the past month or so. In many ways, looking at it objectively,
it has not been an easy process; but we feel much less frazzled at the end of
it than we might have done. A good deal of that is down to you. We have really
appreciated your relaxed and professional approach, with maximum good
information, and a total lack of hype and pressure. A pleasure in the real
estate business! …we’d love to do business with you again.'

‘……..we chose to go with Fraser and his team after they
responded to our questions in an honest and frank manner. Fraser was completely
honest and honourable right throughout the process, delivering on all aspects
of our agreed plan. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him as
being a reputable and upright person and consultant. We would not hesitate to
use him again…. (Abridged).'
